Upgrade Yours Morning Lemon Water with Shikuwasa Lime Powder

BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM AND IMPROVE YOUR GUT HEALTH EVERY DAY WITH THIS SIMPLE MORNING DRINK

The way you start your morning has the power to influence the rest of your day. Nourishing yourself from the inside out first thing is key to leading a healthy lifestyle. One easy practice to incorporate as soon as you wake up is to hydrate your body with water. While drinking water on its own is crucial to overall health, infusing it with a citrus fruit like lemon turns this into a powerful drink that becomes a good source of potassium, folate, calcium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C, the latter of which can help to protect the immune system.

To make this morning drink truly beneficial, Wellness East has created an immune-boosting recipe that takes the tried-and-true lemon water and enriches it with our Shikuwasa Lime Powder. Native to Okinawa, Shikuwasa Lime is a small green fruit that is a signature superfood rich in antioxidants such as nobiletin, which prevents cellular damage, protects against age-related neurodegenerative disease, and helps to lessen the risk of heart disease and cancer.

In Wellness East’s morning lemon water recipe, we go further by combining the lemon and our Shikuwasa Lime powder with freshly chopped ginger and chia seeds. Then, we freeze all these ingredients together to make ice cubes that can be individually dropped into a glass of water for a simple, anti-inflammatory boost to enjoy daily.
